Appointments can be booked in advance by 2 or more days and up to 4 weeks (subject to availability), if you would like to see a doctor and you would like to book a time convenient to your work or other commitments.
We run “Open Surgery” on Monday and Friday mornings at Beaconsfield Road. This means, if you come into the surgery on Monday between 08:30 – 10:30 and book in at reception, you will be seen by a doctor on duty. Please note that this will sometimes mean a wait until your turn to see the doctor. Monday morning open surgery is intended for an immediate urgent problem. For any other issues you need to discuss with the doctor, you should make an appointment for some other time.
If you need an 'on the day' appointment please ring as soon after 08:30am as possible as these appointments often go fast.
We do not close for lunch at Beaconsfield Road - staff are available throughout the day.
Nurse appointments are available across the week at various times to help suit everyone’s lifestyles.
We are able to offer online booking of appointments via the link https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk. You will need to register for this service to be able to use it. To register you will need to be over 18yrs old.
You will first need to visit the surgery, bringing with you photo I.D (driving licence, passport, valid company ID) and complete a consent form. The receptionist will then generate a letter for you that will give you a unique reference number and details of how to complete the process. You can then take this home to register and activate your account.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery it has become necessary to implement the following policy:
If you fail to attend for 3 appointments with a doctor or a nurse you may be removed from the practice list and be requested to find an alternative practice.
130 patients failed to attend their appointments in November 2018 and did not cancel so these were wasted appointments. Please ensure you cancel your appointment if you no longer need it so that it can be offered to someone who does need it.
